NEW MEXICO PARENTS LEFT ASKING FOR DAY CARE CENTERS

The Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) recently declared that it won’t be able to give proper financial aid to the many day care centers. This has left them in a big dilemma. CYFD had personally written to a number of families citing their difficulty in order to finance the innumerable day care centers.

Starting Nov. 1, the Children, Youth and Families Department can't afford to pay for that service while parents are at work. This is again going to greatly affect people who are highly dependent on these day care centers to look after their children.

For it shall result in them quitting jobs to give complete attention to the little ones in the family. About seven thousand children will be affected by this as moderate earning families simply won’t be able to afford for the child day care what with the government going bankrupt.

Thus this cut of federal funding is gravely affecting the numerous child day care centers. But what is even more a cause of worry is parents leaving their kids at unsafe or not registered day care centers. This would in turn prove very dangerous for the children. The fact of the matter is that about a good 60 percent of kids are dependent o the CYFD scheme for financially aiding them in taking care of their children as they head for work.
